He was publicly executed at Port Royal, which is the original birthplace of the “Golden Age of Piracy.” Calico Jack became famous for partnering with female pirates Mary Read and Anne Bonny. In particular, Calico Jack and Anne Bonny were lovers as pirates until the whole crew was captured for execution. According to historical accounts say Bonny was able to prolong her execution by claiming to be pregnant. But, there are no record of her release or execution. She just seemed to vanish. Like every other One Piece character, Jewelry Bonney, is also based off a historical figure.
She is based off Anne Bonny. This would mean that Bonney was in Roger’s crew, and was his lover… and Ace’s mom. Let’s talk about Jewelry Bonney. She is one of the members of the Worst Generation. She was very upset after witnessing Ace’s death. Thus, she chased Blackbeard but ended up getting captured. The biggest hint that Oda has given us is her name. Gol D Roger, Silvers Rayleigh, Scopper Gabban and finally, Jewelry Bonney. The only characters in One Piece with ‘treasure’ + ‘name.’ Oda’s hint that Bonney was in Roger’s crew.
The story of Calico Jack’s execution and Anne Bonney’s disappearance is quite like Roger’s and Rouge’s story. It is said that Rouge maintained her pregnancy for to evade the Marines. During this ordeal, she passed (also note how she wants the baby to be named Anne if it’s a girl). Consider that Bonney was in Roger’s crew. Her name was originally Portgas D. Rouge. They loved, she became pregnant, and Roger turned himself in. Bonney’s devil fruit is actually the perfect DF to allow for a 2-year pregnancy to be possible.
Bonney could’ve easily manipulated Ace’s age during her pregnancy easily, and it wouldn’t have threatened her life. After some time in hiding, for some reason, she entered the Grand Line again under an alias of Jewelry Bonney. Why? Maybe Bonney heard about Ace’s rise to prominence. She wanted to meet Ace in the Grand Line.
When Bonney found out about Ace’s death, she was crying. Her crew had no idea what could have happened. They had no idea why Bonney might be upset over Ace’s death, and this is because she never told them why that might be so.
