The Country of Wano lies somewhere in the New World, and it is the place where half of the Strawhats are currently headed towards. As soon as Luffy and the rest are done with Whole Cake Island, they will head towards Wano as well. Wano is a country that is cut off from the rest of the world. People from outside are rarely allowed to enter, and nobody is allowed to leave the country without permission. Even the Marines don’t come close to this place. Because of this reason, we don’t know much about Wano Country yet.
But, we do know that Wano’s Daimyo, Momonosuke’s father, was killed there. Kaido was responsible for his death. The Shogun of Wano also collaborated with Kaido in order to maintain control over Wano, and he is said to be a traitor, because he betrayed Lord Kozuki Oden.
Now, many people have been speculating who the Shogun of Wano is, and what his powers will be. Some are even wondering if he’s even strong in the first place. The answer to that would be yes. In Feudal Japan, the term ‘Shogun’ meant the ‘Supreme Commander’. So, if he’s the Supreme Commander, you can expect him to be very powerful!
Wano is said to be a strong country. Look at Kinemon, for example. He’s a very powerful swordsman, and he knows how to use Haki as well. He can even cut fire with his sword, and he’s not even close to the rank of Shogun.
Being the Shogun of Wano would mean the person is very powerful. Since Wano is a country of Samurai, it is pretty much certain that the Shogun will be a Samurai as well.
I believe that he is not only a Samurai, but he also has a powerful Devil Fruit. This Devil Fruit would be, the Mythical Zoan Dragon Fruit. Some say that Kaido might have it, and others say that Dragon might have it. But, I digress. I think the Shogun will have the power of the Mythical Zoan Dragon Fruit.
During the time of Ryuma, the country was terrorized by a Dragon, until Ryuma slayed him. This most certainly draws a parallel to who will slay the Dragon this time.
If you haven’t been able to guess already, it is in fact, Roronoa Zoro. Zoro already slayed a dragon at Punk Hazard. That could very much be foreshadowing for the future events that he’ll be the one to slay the Shogun of Wano.
Zoro has always fought the second strongest opponent in One Piece. Luffy takes on the strongest and Zoro usually takes on the second strongest. So, going by that pattern, Zoro would be the one to slay the Dragon this time.
